Cooking Sauces
San Remo Natural Italian Cooking Sauces take all the fuss out of preparing
pasta sauce and help you to create an authentic, real traditional taste.
San Remo's Italian Cooking Sauces contain authentic Italian tomatoes,
pureed to perfection. A 680g bottle makes enough sauce for 4 - 6 people.
For a simple tomato pasta sauce, try this recipe. Fry one chopped
onion and a crushed garlic clove in some olive oil in a large frying pan.
When browned, empty the contents of one bottle of San Remo Italian Cooking
Sauce into the pan, season with herbs, salt & pepper and simmer for about
15 minutes. Alternatively, add 500g minced beef at the onion stage for
a rich Bolognese sauce.
You can also use the sauce as a basis for many different meal occasions:
stews, casseroles, soups or chilli con carne.
Pasta Sauces
San
Remo has also has a range of ready made pasta sauces in two flavours,
Napoletana and Eggplant. Different to Cooking
Sauces (which are pureed tomatoes), these sauces combine tomatoes, premium
olive oil, herbs and vegetables and are ready to heat and eat. Just heat
in the microwave or in a saucepan, then toss through freshly cooked pasta.
There's no need to add anything else.
You can also use them as a delicious base for pizza, in lasagna or cannelloni,
or to add flavour to a variety of dishes.
