Choosing the Right Pasta Shape
When making a pasta dish, its always good to select a pasta shape and sauce that complement each other. Thin, delicate pastas, like Angel Hair, should be served with light, thin sauces. Thicker shapes, like Thick Spaghetti, work well with heavier sauces, such as Bolognese. "Ribbon" style pasta, such as Fettuccine, are best served with cream or pesto sauces. Short shapes, including Penne or Spirals, go well with chunky sauces and are excellent in salads, bakes and soups.
